SGM FAN AWARDS

The SGM Fan Awards were established to honor the                                                                                                             legends, acknowledge accomplishments and recognize fan                                                                                                             favorites within the southern gospel music industry.                                                                                                             The SGM FanFair Fan Awards ballot includes these                                                                                                             categories: Male Quartet, Mixed Quartet, Trio, Duet,                                                                                                             Soloist, Male Vocalist,  Female Vocalist, Band, Musician, Song, Album, Video/DVD, Lead, Baritone, Bass, Alto, Tenor, Soprano, Young Excelling Individual Award, New Excelling Artist Award and the Naomi Sego Living Legend Award. At the inaugural SGM FanFair Fan Awards in 2005, The Living Legend Award was named after Naomi Sego, in honor of her life long achievements in Southern Gospel Music. The initial nominating ballot for the 2009 SGM Fan Awards will be available online and in the Christian Voice Magazine in November 2008. The second and final ballot listing the top five finalists in each category will be published in January 2009. Winners will be announced at the 5th annual SGM Fan Awards show Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, TN, during the week of SGM FanFair.
